Tomcat Shared/lib, Common/lib, WEB-INF/lib
If you are confused about the differences between shared/lib, common/lib, and WEB-INF/lib in tomcat, the best place is probably:

Generally speaking, the jar files in shared/lib are visiable to webapps only, while ones in common/libs are visiable to both webapps and tomcat container.
